Christina Kortering

Christina serves in the administrative role at Blue Heron Montessori and is grateful to support families as they begin and continue their Montessori journey. With 13 years of experience as a certified elementary education teacher, she has seen how deeply children thrive when they are given the time, space, and trust to grow—and believes the Montessori approach offers a thoughtful, child-centered foundation for learning.

Montessori is also part of Christina’s own story. She attended a Montessori school as a child and later experienced the program again as a parent when her daughter moved through the Blue Heron 3-6 classroom. Outside of school, Christina enjoys family bike rides on Galbraith, beach walks with the dog, and making music with friends. She is always happy to connect and answer questions from families as they explore whether Blue Heron Montessori is the right fit for their child.
